TURBOGAMES

About TurboGames

A free library of 108 original games that start in one tap, on any phone, tablet or computer.

Why we built it

Most game sites make you wait: a download, an account, a pile of pop-ups, and only then a game. We wanted the opposite. TurboGames opens straight into play. Pick a game, press start, and you are in a round within seconds. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

The idea grew from a simple habit: the five-minute break. A quick puzzle between tasks, a round of a classic with a friend on the sofa, a high score to beat on the bus. We built the games and the site to fit exactly those moments.

What you will find

The library covers 11 categories, from fast arcade reflex games and 3D racers to word puzzles, board and card classics, sports, geography quizzes and party games for a group around one screen:

Every game page includes an explanation of the rules, the controls for keyboard and touch, scoring details, practical tips and answers to common questions, so you can get good faster.

Features that keep it fun

  • Weekly leaderboards. Each game has a board that resets every Monday (UTC), so everyone gets a fresh chance at the top.
  • Daily Circuit. Five games are picked each day. Clear a few to build a streak.
  • Anonymous player accounts. A random username is created for you, with optional recovery so progress follows you to another device. No email or password.
  • XP, levels and badges that reward trying different games, not only grinding one.
  • Themes. Six colour themes, from light and airy to deep dark, for comfortable play at any hour.
  • Made for touch and keyboard. Games adapt to the screen, and most can be paused with Ctrl+P and muted with Ctrl+M.

How the games are made

Every game on the Site is original and built for it, using standard web technology (HTML5 canvas and JavaScript) so it runs in the browser without plugins. Each one is played and tested on small and large screens before it is published, and we revisit games when players report problems. Read more in our editorial and quality policy.

A word about casino-style games

A few games borrow the look of card tables and slot machines. They use play money only, there are no prizes, and nothing can be bought or withdrawn. They exist as entertainment, and we say so clearly on those pages and in our disclaimer.

How the site is funded

TurboGames is free. We pay for hosting and development with advertising, mainly through Google. We keep ads out of the way of gameplay and never show them over a running game. You can read exactly how data and ads work in the Privacy Policy.

Who runs it

TurboGames is operated by The TurboGames team. We read every message that comes through the contact page, and many of the games in the library began as a player's suggestion.
