Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about playing, accounts, scores and privacy. Cannot find yours? Ask us.
Getting started
▸Is it really free?
Yes. Every game on TurboGames is free to play. There are no paywalls, subscriptions or in-game purchases. The site is supported by advertising.
▸Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Games run directly in your browser on phones, tablets and computers. There is nothing to install.
▸Which devices and browsers work?
Any recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or a similar browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS. Games support touch, mouse and keyboard, depending on the game. For the smoothest play keep your browser up to date.
▸How many games are there?
There are 108 original games across arcade, puzzle, word, board and card, sports, retro, skill, geography, party and 3D categories. New games are added regularly.
Accounts, scores and progress
▸Do I need to register?
No. You can play every game without an account. When you finish a game your score is saved to an anonymous player that is created automatically with a random username. No email, phone number or password is ever required.
▸Can I change my username?
Yes. Open your profile and choose Change username. Names are 3 to 16 letters, numbers or underscores, must start with a letter and must be unique. Please keep it friendly and do not use personal information.
▸How do I keep my progress on another device?
Create a recovery code on your profile page and save it somewhere private. On another browser, enter the code in the restore box. Anyone who has the code can use the account, so treat it like a password.
▸My progress disappeared. What happened?
Your player account is linked to a cookie in your browser. If you cleared site data, used a private window or switched browsers without a recovery code, the site cannot tell it is you. Creating a recovery code in advance prevents this.
▸What are XP, levels and badges?
You earn experience points (XP) every time you finish a game, with bonuses for new personal bests and for daily games. XP raises your level, and badges reward milestones like trying different categories or keeping a streak. They are just for fun and have no cash value.
▸Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Contact us with your username and we will delete the account, its scores and its progress. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Leaderboards and daily games
▸How do leaderboards work?
Each game keeps a weekly board with each player’s best score. Boards reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Scores are checked for plausibility, and suspicious ones can be removed.
▸What is the Daily Circuit and the streak?
Every day five games are chosen for everyone. Finish at least one to extend your streak; clearing three completes the circuit. If you miss a whole day the streak starts again.
▸Are there prizes for the top spots?
No. Rankings are for bragging rights. If we ever run a promotion, it will have its own published rules.
Playing
▸How do I pause or mute a game?
Press Ctrl+P to pause and Ctrl+M to mute. On phones use the on-screen buttons in the game. The fullscreen button on the game page gives more room.
▸A game loads slowly or looks cut off. What should I do?
Reload the page, close other heavy tabs and try fullscreen. If it keeps happening, tell us the game name, your device and browser through the contact page.
▸Where can I find tips for a game?
Every game page includes how to play, controls, scoring, tips and common questions below the game.
▸Can I play with a friend?
Many board, card, sports and party games support two or more players on the same device. They are marked with the number of players. You can also challenge a friend to beat your score with the Challenge a friend button.
Casino-style games
▸Are the blackjack, roulette and slots games real gambling?
No. They use virtual play money only. You cannot deposit, win or withdraw real money and there are no prizes. They are entertainment simulations.
Privacy, ads and support
▸What data do you collect?
Mainly the anonymous player data you create by playing: username, scores, XP, favorites and streaks. We do not ask for personal details. Full information is in the Privacy Policy.
▸Why do I see ads, and can I control them?
Ads pay for hosting and development. They are provided by Google and its partners and may use cookies. You can choose essential cookies only in the banner, and manage personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. See the Cookie Policy.
▸How do I report a bug or suggest a game?
Use the contact page. For bugs include the game, your device and what happened. We read every message.
