About Anagram Drop
Anagram Drop is a word game with a deadline. Scrambled tiles fall from the top of the screen, and each cluster hides a short English word. You type the answer before the tiles reach the red floor line, and the word vanishes in a burst of sparkles. It mixes quick thinking with quick typing, which is a combination that feels very satisfying when it clicks.
It suits word lovers, crossword fans and anyone who likes unscrambling puzzles under mild pressure. A run lasts one to three minutes, so it fits a short break. A good run means clearing several words in a row to build a combo while the falling speed slowly creeps up, and finishing with your three lives still mostly intact.
How to play Anagram Drop
- Look at the scrambled tiles and work out which word they spell.
- Type the word using the keyboard. It is checked automatically as you type, so you often do not need to press Enter.
- Watch for the lowest cluster first, because the game solves the one closest to the floor when two share the same letters.
- Use Backspace or DEL if you type a wrong letter, and press Enter or GO to confirm.
- Keep going until three tile groups have hit the floor and your lives run out.
Controls
| Keyboard and mouse | Type letters on your keyboard to build your answer in the box at the bottom. Backspace deletes a letter and Enter submits the word. Press Ctrl+P to pause or Ctrl+M to mute. |
|---|---|
| Phone and tablet | Tap the on-screen keyboard at the bottom of the game. DEL removes the last letter and GO submits your answer. |
Scoring
Each solved word earns ten points per letter, multiplied by a combo bonus that grows by 15 percent for every word in a row, up to ten words. A wrong submission or a word hitting the floor resets the combo. Long words during a high combo are where the big scores come from.
Tips and strategy
- Solve the clusters nearest the floor first. They flash red when danger is close, and losing a life also wipes out your combo.
- Do not mash Enter on a guess. A failed submission clears your typing and resets the combo, while patient typing lets the game accept a correct word instantly.
- Look for common endings in the scramble. Double letters and familiar endings often anchor the answer faster than moving every tile in your head.
- Short three-letter words are quick points early on. Clear them fast so your hands are free when longer, seven-letter words start to show up.
- Typing eight letters without a match counts as a miss, so if your guess runs long, delete it and rethink the scramble instead of adding more.
Anagram Drop FAQ
▸Do I have to press Enter after typing a word?
No. The game checks your letters every time you type one, so a correct word is accepted as soon as the last letter lands. Enter is only needed when you want to submit and clear a guess deliberately.
▸How do I lose a life?
You lose one life each time a scrambled cluster reaches the red line at the bottom. You start with three lives, and the run ends when they are all gone.
▸Does the game get harder?
Yes. The tiles fall faster as your score climbs, new words arrive more often, and the words themselves get longer, up to seven letters.
▸Are my scores saved anywhere?
Your final score is submitted when the run ends, and it counts toward the weekly leaderboard and your XP.
