About Baccarat
Baccarat is a quick card game where you never touch a card. Two hands, Player and Banker, are dealt from a shoe of eight decks, and you simply back the one you think will finish closest to nine. Everything else, including whether a third card is drawn, follows fixed rules that the game applies for you.
This version runs entirely on play money. You begin with a balance of 1000 and no real money is ever involved. It suits anyone who wants a relaxed, low-effort table game in a few minutes, and a good session is one where you keep your balance healthy over a long string of rounds.
How to play Baccarat
- Choose a side: Player, Banker or Tie. The chosen button lifts and glows.
- Add chips with the +5, +25, +100 and +500 buttons. The bet is capped at what you have left.
- Press DEAL and watch both hands appear one card at a time, with a third card added when the rules call for it.
- Read the totals under each hand. Aces count one, tens and picture cards count zero, and only the last digit of the sum matters.
- Repeat for as many rounds as you like, then press Cash out, or play until your balance drops below 5.
Controls
| Keyboard and mouse | Click the side buttons and chip buttons, then click DEAL. The keyboard shortcuts are P, B and T to pick Player, Banker or Tie, and Enter or Space to deal. Ctrl+M mutes the sound if the card sounds get distracting. |
|---|---|
| Phone and tablet | Tap Player, Banker or Tie, tap one or more chip buttons (+5, +25, +100, +500) to build your bet, then tap DEAL. Tap Clear to empty the bet or Cash out to stop and bank your balance. |
Scoring
Your score is your final play-money balance when the run ends, either by cashing out or by running below 5. A winning Player bet returns double the stake, a winning Banker bet pays 0.95 to 1, and a winning Tie bet pays 8 to 1. If the round ties and you did not pick Tie, your bet is returned. Ending above 1000 means you came out ahead.
Tips and strategy
- Decide your chip size before you deal and keep it steady. Small, even bets make the balance move slowly and give you many more rounds to enjoy.
- The Tie bet pays 8 to 1 but ties are rare, so treat it as an occasional fun risk rather than a plan.
- Banker pays slightly less than Player (0.95 to 1), so a Banker win nets a little under the stake. Remember this when comparing your results.
- Watch the coloured dots at the bottom for recent results, but remember each round is dealt independently, so streaks do not predict the next hand.
- Use Cash out when you are happy with your balance. Your score is locked in at that number, and pushing on can only change it up or down.
Baccarat FAQ
▸Is any real money involved?
No. The balance is play money only, starting at 1000, and nothing can be won or lost for real. The game is for entertainment and does not teach a way to beat a casino.
▸Do I have to decide whether a third card is drawn?
No. The game applies the standard drawing rules automatically for both hands, so your only decisions are the side and the size of your bet.
▸What happens when the round is a tie?
If you backed Player or Banker, your stake is returned and the round counts as a push. If you backed Tie, you are paid 8 to 1.
▸How does my score reach the weekly leaderboard?
When you cash out or run out of chips, the final balance is submitted as your score and can earn XP, so a higher balance ranks higher.
