About Cloud Bounce

Cloud Bounce is an endless vertical jumper. A round yellow character bounces automatically, and you steer left and right to land on fluffy cloud platforms and keep climbing. The screen scrolls upward, the sky darkens toward space as you rise, and a miss means falling off the bottom. There is no jump button, which keeps the focus on positioning.

It suits short, casual breaks and players who enjoy chasing a personal best height. One run often lasts one to five minutes. A good run climbs a few hundred metres, where crumbling and sliding clouds have appeared and the gaps between platforms widen, so careful steering matters more than speed.

How to play Cloud Bounce

  1. Start the round and let the character bounce on the first cloud.
  2. Steer left or right to drop onto the next platform above you.
  3. Use the screen edges as a shortcut; leaving one side brings you back on the other.
  4. Avoid brown clouds, which crumble and give no bounce.
  5. Keep climbing, because falling below the bottom of the screen ends the run.

Controls

Keyboard and mouseHold the Left and Right arrow keys, or A and D, to steer. You can also press and drag the mouse across the game area to guide the character toward the pointer.
Phone and tabletTouch and drag your finger left or right. The character slides toward where your finger is, and lifting your finger lets it stop steering.

Scoring

Your score is your height in metres, measured from the highest point you have reached. It only rises when you climb, so bouncing in place earns nothing. A message flashes each time you pass another hundred metres, and the final screen sends your best height.

Tips and strategy

  • Aim for the platform one jump ahead while still falling. You only bounce when landing from above, so passing through clouds on the way up is harmless.
  • Use screen wrapping. If the next cloud is far to one side, exiting the opposite edge can be a shorter route than a long sideways drift.
  • Avoid the brown crumbling clouds. They break when you touch them and you do not bounce, so pick a white or blue platform nearby.
  • Blue clouds slide sideways and appear once you are above roughly 150 metres. Time your landing as they move, and aim slightly ahead of their direction.
  • Make small, steady corrections instead of big swings. The gaps between platforms grow with height, so there is less room to recover from a bad slide.

Cloud Bounce FAQ

▸Is there a jump button?

No. The character bounces on its own every time it lands on a solid cloud, so all you control is horizontal movement.

▸Why do some clouds break?

Brown clouds are crumbling platforms that start appearing once you are above about 80 metres. They disappear on contact and give no bounce.

▸Can I go off the side of the screen?

Yes. The play area wraps around, so leaving the left edge brings you back in on the right and vice versa.

▸Does my height count for rankings?

Your final height is submitted when you fall and can count toward the weekly leaderboard and XP.
