About Crate Pusher

Crate Pusher is a classic warehouse puzzle. You guide a round little worker around a small room of bricks and push wooden crates onto the glowing dots, one at a time. You can only push, never pull, and a crate is stuck for good if you shove it into a corner, so the fun lies in thinking a few moves ahead.

The game contains eight rooms that grow from small and simple to larger with more crates, and the rooms are generated so they can always be solved. Plan on three to ten minutes. A good run clears all eight rooms with few extra moves and uses Undo only to fix real mistakes.

How to play Crate Pusher

  1. Look at the room first and count the crates and the glowing target dots.
  2. Walk into a crate to push it one square. It only moves if the square beyond it is free of walls and other crates.
  3. Plan each push so the crate does not end up against a wall or in a corner where you can no longer reach it.
  4. Use Undo to take back a bad push, or Restart room to start the layout again.
  5. Put every crate on a dot to clear the room, then continue until all eight rooms are done or press Finish.

Controls

Keyboard and mouseMove with the arrow keys or WASD. Press U or Z to undo the last move and R to restart the room. The Undo, Restart room and Finish buttons below the board do the same jobs.
Phone and tabletSwipe on the board in the direction you want to walk, or use the on-screen arrow pad. Use the Undo, Restart room and Finish buttons under the board.

Scoring

Each cleared room scores up to 200 points, with a minimum of 20. Points drop by 2 for every move beyond a baseline that depends on the room, so tidy pushes and fewer detours score better. The final score is the sum across rooms, and finishing early with Finish keeps what you have earned so far.

Tips and strategy

  • Before the first push, trace where each crate needs to go and work out which one blocks the others. The order of pushes often decides the room.
  • Avoid pushing a crate into a corner unless the corner holds a target dot. A crate in a corner can never move again.
  • Be careful with crates against a wall. They can only slide along the wall, so only push them there if a target lies on that line.
  • Undo counts as a move, so it slightly lowers your room score. Think first, and save Undo for genuine slip-ups.
  • If a room feels hopeless, press Restart room rather than undoing step by step. The layout stays the same, and a fresh look often shows a better order.

Crate Pusher FAQ

▸Can I pull crates?

No. You can only push, and only one crate at a time. A crate with a wall or another crate behind it cannot be moved in that direction.

▸Can every room be solved?

The rooms are built by working backward from a solved position, so a solution exists. Careless pushes can still strand a crate, which is when Undo or Restart helps.

▸Does Undo or Restart end my run?

No. Undo steps back one push or step, and Restart room resets the current layout. Neither ends the game, though Undo adds to your move count.

▸What happens when I finish the eighth room?

The run ends with a total score that is submitted automatically. It can appear on the weekly leaderboard and earn XP.
