About Flag Sprint

Flag Sprint shows one national flag at a time and asks you to name the country from four choices. The flags are drawn on screen with shapes, and the countdown bar beneath each one shrinks fast. A right answer brings the next flag straight away. A wrong one or a timeout costs a heart, and you start with three.

It suits geography fans, quiz lovers and anyone who wants a quick brain workout of two to five minutes. Beginners will recognise the famous flags quickly, while the similar tricolours test your memory. A strong run is a long streak with fast answers while the time limit keeps tightening.

How to play Flag Sprint

  1. Look at the flag shown on the card.
  2. Choose the matching country from the four buttons before the bar runs out.
  3. Keep answering correctly to build a streak.
  4. A wrong answer or a timeout costs one of your three hearts, and the correct option lights up green.
  5. When the last heart is gone, the game ends and shows how many flags you named.

Controls

Keyboard and mouseClick one of the four answer buttons, or press the number keys 1, 2, 3 or 4 to pick the matching option.
Phone and tabletTap one of the four answer buttons under the flag. Each button is numbered and large enough to hit quickly.

Scoring

Each correct answer gives 10 points, plus up to 10 more for speed depending on how much time was left, plus a streak bonus that grows by one point per answer in a row up to 10. A wrong answer resets the streak. Strong players chain many right answers while the clock is shortening.

Tips and strategy

  • Answer as soon as you are sure. The speed bonus is worth as much as the base points, so a quick right answer beats a slow one.
  • Learn the tricolours by their stripe direction first. Vertical or horizontal layout and the colour order eliminate most wrong options before you read the names.
  • Use the number keys on a computer. Pressing 1 to 4 is faster than moving the mouse to a button, and it keeps your eyes on the flag.
  • Protect your streak, not just your hearts. A guess when you are unsure still costs a heart if wrong and resets the bonus, so use the full time when needed.
  • Expect pressure to grow. The time per flag begins at ten seconds and shrinks by a fraction after each correct answer, down to a minimum of three and a half seconds.

Flag Sprint FAQ

▸How many hearts do I get?

Three. You lose one when you choose the wrong country or when the timer for a flag runs out. The game ends when none remain.

▸Do flags repeat?

The flags are shuffled and every one appears once before the order is reshuffled, so you will not see the same flag twice until you have been through the whole set.

▸Are the wrong options random?

Yes. The three wrong answers are picked at random from the other countries in the game, so they are not always lookalikes.

▸Does my score count toward the weekly leaderboard?

Yes. Your final score is submitted when the game ends, and it can earn XP and rank on the weekly leaderboard.
