About Night Chase City

Night Chase City is a pseudo-3D driving game set on a looping neon city circuit. You steer an orange car down a glowing road while police cruisers close in from behind, their lights flashing in your mirror. Slower civilian cars share the lanes, and your car speeds up on its own, so the whole game is about weaving, braking at the right time and keeping the pursuit off your bumper.

It suits players who like quick arcade driving without menus or upgrades. A run lasts two to five minutes depending on how long you can stay out of trouble. A good run means shaking off patrol cars, finishing laps of the circuit, and keeping your damage meter low enough that you never get busted.

How to play Night Chase City

  1. Steer to stay on the road; your car accelerates by itself.
  2. Dodge the slower civilian cars, since each crash adds to your HEAT bar.
  3. Watch the mirror at the top for flashing police cars and keep them from ramming you.
  4. Use nitro on long straights to pull away, and let the bar refill when you release it.
  5. Keep HEAT below full; when it maxes out you are busted and the run ends.

Controls

Keyboard and mouseSteer with the left and right arrow keys or A and D. Hold Space, the up arrow or W for a nitro boost, and hold the down arrow or S to brake.
Phone and tabletTouch the left half of the screen to steer left and the right half to steer right. The on-screen arrow pad also works, with the up arrow for nitro and the down arrow for braking.

Scoring

Your score grows with the distance you cover, plus 150 points for each police car you lose and 300 for every full lap of the circuit. The score is shown at the top as you drive. The best runs mix steady distance with lost pursuers and a couple of laps, rather than relying on speed alone.

Tips and strategy

  • Ease off the edges. Going beyond the road barriers slows the car heavily, which is exactly when a patrol car catches up.
  • Use nitro on straight stretches only. Boosting through a bend with traffic ahead is a quick route to a crash, and the bar recharges slowly.
  • Police cars home in on your lane, so a quick lane change just before they arrive can make them miss. Keep to the middle lane when you have room to move either way.
  • Your HEAT bar drains slowly when no police car is close and you are not braking, so staying clear of the cops is also how you repair damage.
  • More pursuers join about every thirty seconds, up to four at once. Lose the early ones fast, because a long gap makes them drop out and counts toward your score.

Night Chase City FAQ

▸How do I get rid of a police car?

Pull far enough ahead that it falls well behind you. Once the gap is large, that car gives up, you earn 150 points, and a short pause follows before a new one can join.

▸What happens when I hit a car?

Hitting a civilian adds a small amount of damage and slows you down. Being rammed by a police car adds more, so it is worth making a late lane change to avoid them.

▸What ends the run?

The run ends when the HEAT bar fills up and you are busted. The game then shows your total score from distance, lost police cars and laps.
