About Plinko

Plinko is a drop-and-watch game. You release a glowing disc at the top of a pyramid of pegs, and it bounces randomly left and right until it lands in one of eleven slots at the bottom. Each slot carries a multiplier. This version uses play coins only, so there is nothing real at stake, and it is a relaxed way to enjoy the bouncing.

It suits people who like low-effort, watch-it-fall fun in sessions of one to five minutes. You choose a bet size and a risk level, and you can have several discs falling at once. A good session is simply ending with more play coins than the 1,000 you started with, but luck decides each drop.

How to play Plinko

  1. Pick a bet from 10, 25, 50 or 100 play coins. Each drop costs that amount.
  2. Choose Low, Med or High risk, which changes the multipliers printed in the slots.
  3. Aim near the middle, then click, tap or press DROP to release a disc.
  4. Watch it bounce through the pegs. Whatever slot it lands in multiplies your bet and adds the result back to your balance.
  5. Press Cash out when you want to stop and post your balance.

Controls

Keyboard and mouseMove the mouse over the board or use the Left and Right arrow keys to position the drop marker, then click or press Space or Enter to release a disc. The Bet buttons, Risk button, DROP button and Cash out button sit below. Ctrl+P pauses and Ctrl+M mutes.
Phone and tabletTap in the upper part of the board to drop a disc from that position. Use the Bet buttons to change the stake, Risk to change the multipliers, and Cash out to end the game.

Scoring

Your score is the number of play coins you hold when you cash out, which is your balance after all drops have landed. Slots in the middle pay less than the bet, while the outer slots pay much more. If you run out of coins, the run ends with a score of zero.

Tips and strategy

  • Only the center area is open for dropping, a narrow strip about 80 pixels wide. Moving the marker slightly does not change the odds very much, because pegs scramble the path.
  • Low risk keeps the multipliers between 0.5 and 5, while High risk ranges from 0.2 to 50. Higher risk means bigger swings in both directions.
  • The slots in the middle of the board are where discs land most often. Edge slots are rare, which is why they carry the highest numbers.
  • Smaller bets make your balance last for more drops. If your balance falls below your bet, the game lowers your bet automatically.
  • You can release several discs before the first lands. Remember that each one costs its bet immediately, so watch your balance.

Plinko FAQ

▸Is this real gambling?

No. The game uses play coins only, shown on screen as play money, and nothing can be withdrawn or bought. Outcomes are random bounces, and no aiming trick beats the board over time.

▸What does the risk setting actually change?

It swaps the table of multipliers. Low has smaller values at the edges, such as 5, while High raises the edges to 50 but makes the middle slots pay only 0.2 to 0.3 of your bet.

▸What happens if I lose all my coins?

When no discs are falling and your balance is too small to bet, the game ends as Busted with a score of 0. Cashing out earlier keeps whatever balance you had.

▸Does the weekly leaderboard use my final balance?

Yes, the cashed-out balance is the score that gets submitted. Since each drop is random, a high result mostly reflects a lucky run.
