About Tunnel Dash
Tunnel Dash puts you in a glowing ship that circles the inside of a twelve-sided tunnel while walls rush toward you. Each wall has an opening, and you slide around the edge to line up with it before the wall arrives. The rapid forward perspective makes it feel faster than it looks on paper, and it gets quicker as you travel.
It suits fans of one-more-try reflex games, in runs of one to four minutes. The controls are only left and right, so anyone can start in seconds. A strong run means reading the next gap early, making small corrections, and surviving long enough that the openings begin to narrow.
How to play Tunnel Dash
- Hold the left or right side of the screen to spin your ship around the tunnel wall.
- Watch the next barrier approaching from the center. Its missing segments are the gap you need.
- Rotate until your ship sits in front of an open gap before the barrier reaches you.
- Pass through and repeat. Each barrier passed brings a little more speed.
- Touching a solid segment ends the run, and your distance is recorded.
Controls
| Keyboard and mouse | Hold the Left arrow or A to rotate one way, and the Right arrow or D to rotate the other. You can also hold the mouse button down on the left or right half of the screen. |
|---|---|
| Phone and tablet | Touch and hold the left half of the screen to rotate counterclockwise, or the right half to rotate clockwise. Lift your finger to stop turning. |
Scoring
Your score is the distance you travel, shown at the top as Dist, and it grows steadily the longer you survive. Speed increases with distance, so each later stretch is worth the same distance but arrives faster. Surviving past the point where gaps shrink is a good benchmark.
Tips and strategy
- Look at the following barrier as soon as the current one passes. Starting a turn early gives you time to stop precisely instead of overshooting.
- Tap in short pulses rather than holding the direction. The ship turns smoothly and keeps a bit of momentum, so quick taps give fine control.
- Take the shorter way around. If the gap is on the opposite side, pick whichever direction needs fewer segments to cross.
- Barriers begin with a gap of six segments, and as your distance builds it tightens down to three. Be ready for precision as the tunnel narrows.
- Stay near the middle of an opening instead of its edge, since the next gap may be on either side and you want room to adjust.
Tunnel Dash FAQ
▸Is there a way to slow down or brake?
No. The tunnel speeds up automatically as your distance grows, up to a limit. The only control is the direction you rotate.
▸Does the game have a finish line?
No. It goes on until you hit a wall. Your distance is submitted as the final score.
▸Why did I crash when it looked like I fit?
Only the segment your ship is in at the moment the barrier reaches you counts. If a solid segment is at that position at that instant, the run ends.
▸Can I use both keyboard and mouse?
Yes. Arrow keys, A and D and a held mouse or touch all rotate the ship, and either side of the screen steers in the matching direction.
