Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of TurboGames (the “Site”), operated by The TurboGames team. By opening the Site or playing a game you agree to the Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Who may use the Site

The Site is for a general audience. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use it with a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for any device you use to access the Site and for what happens on it.

3. The service

We provide free, browser-based games with optional anonymous player accounts, weekly leaderboards, daily challenges, experience points (XP), streaks, badges and favorites. We may add, change, pause or remove games and features at any time, with or without notice, and we do not promise that any game or feature will always be available or free of errors.

The games are provided for entertainment. Experience points, levels, badges and leaderboard positions have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods or services.

4. Anonymous player accounts

• Playing and submitting scores creates an anonymous account identified by a random username. No email or password is required.
• You may choose a different username if it is available. Usernames appear on public leaderboards and must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading, infringing, or reveal personal information (yours or anyone else's). We may change or reset a username that breaks this rule.
• You may create an optional recovery code to restore the account on another browser. Anyone who has the code can use the account, so keep it private. If you lose your browser data and have no code, we may not be able to restore the account.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms, and we may remove scores that appear to be cheated.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• cheat, or use scripts, bots, automation, modified clients, memory editing or other tools to gain an unfair advantage or to submit scores that were not played legitimately;
• attack, overload, probe, scrape or try to bypass the security or rate limits of the Site, its servers or its administration area;
• send spam or harmful, unlawful or abusive content through the contact form or usernames;
• copy, resell, or republish the games, their code, artwork or text, or present them as your own, except as these Terms or the law allow;
• embed or frame the games on other sites, or reverse engineer the Site, without our written permission;
• interfere with the display or measurement of advertising, including by clicking your own ads or encouraging others to do so artificially.

We may remove content, block access or take other action if we believe these rules are broken.

6. Scores and leaderboards

Games run in your browser, so scores cannot be verified with certainty. We apply checks and may correct, reset or remove scores, rankings or whole leaderboards at our discretion, for example after suspected cheating or technical faults. Leaderboards reset weekly. There are no prizes tied to leaderboard positions unless we announce a specific promotion with its own rules.

7. Play-money games

Some games use card, dice, roulette, slot or similar mechanics for entertainment. They use virtual play money only. No real money can be deposited, wagered, won or withdrawn, and nothing in these games offers a prize. They are not gambling and do not teach or encourage gambling. If you are concerned about gambling, please seek help from a local support service.

8. Intellectual property

The games, code, artwork, thumbnails, text, logos and design of the Site belong to The TurboGames team or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the games in your browser for non-commercial purposes. Game names such as chess, sudoku or ludo are generic names of traditional games; other names or marks mentioned on the Site belong to their owners and no endorsement is implied. 9. Your messages and feedback

If you send us a message, bug report or game idea, you allow us to use it to improve the Site without obligation to you. Do not send confidential information or anything you do not have the right to share.

10. Advertising and third-party services

The Site displays advertising provided by third parties such as Google. We do not control the ads' content and are not responsible for third-party websites, products or services you reach through them. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and them. 11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and games are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that games will be free from bugs, viruses or harmful components. Read our Disclaimer for more.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The TurboGames team and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, scores, progress, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greatest extent the law allows.

13. Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for claims, losses and costs that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new Terms. If a change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to tell you on the Site.

15. Ending your use

You can stop using the Site at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access to all or part of the Site at any time, particularly if you break these Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where The TurboGames team is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of that place have jurisdiction, although consumers may also have the right to bring a claim in their home country where mandatory consumer law gives them that right. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
