About Craps
Craps is the classic two-dice table game, simplified so it is easy to pick up. You start with 1,000 in play money, choose the Pass or Don't Pass line, set a bet and roll. The first roll decides whether you win, lose or set a point, and then you keep rolling until the point or a seven shows up. Everything here uses play money only; nothing can be won or lost for real.
It suits players who enjoy watching tension build over a few dice rolls, and anyone curious how the rules of craps work without pressure. A session runs three to ten minutes depending on how long you stay in. A good session simply means growing your balance, then cashing out before a cold streak, though results depend on luck.
How to play Craps
- Set your bet, from a minimum of 5 up to 500 or your balance, then choose Pass or Don't Pass before the first roll.
- Press ROLL for the come-out roll. A 7 or 11 wins for Pass, while 2, 3 or 12 loses for Pass. Don't Pass wins on 2 or 3, loses on 7 or 11, and pushes on 12.
- Any other total becomes the point, and the puck flips to ON. Keep rolling.
- Pass wins if the point repeats before a 7. Don't Pass wins if a 7 comes first.
- Optionally add an Odds bet once a point is set, then press Cash out any time you want to bank your balance.
Controls
| Keyboard and mouse | Use the bet buttons to change your stake, click PASS or DON'T PASS, then click ROLL. The keyboard works too: Space or Enter rolls, P picks Pass and D picks Don't Pass. Ctrl+P pauses and Ctrl+M mutes. |
|---|---|
| Phone and tablet | Tap the -5, +5, +25 and +100 buttons to set your bet, tap PASS or DON'T PASS, then tap ROLL. Tap + Odds when a point is set, or Cash out to finish. |
Scoring
Your score is your play-money balance when the game ends, either when you press Cash out or when you run out of money. Line bets pay even money, and an Odds bet of up to twice your line bet pays true odds based on the point. You begin with 1,000, so any final amount above that means a profitable session.
Tips and strategy
- Odds are optional and only appear after a point is set. They pay fair odds, 2 to 1 on points 4 and 10, so they matter when you want bigger swings.
- Pass and Don't Pass bets are locked after you roll, so pick your side first. The Pass choice only changes between completed rounds.
- Keep your bet a small share of your balance. A few cold rolls in a row can drain a large stake quickly, and dice are pure chance.
- Watch the history line along the bottom. Past rolls do not influence the next one, but it is a handy log of how the current round unfolded.
- Remember that the puck shows ON when a point is live. If it is OFF, your next roll is a fresh come-out roll.
Craps FAQ
▸Is any real money involved?
No. The game uses play money only, and a banner on the table says so. There is no deposit, prize or payout, and you cannot turn your balance into anything real.
▸What happens if I run out of money?
When your balance drops below the 5 minimum bet, the game ends and reports your peak balance. You can start a new game with a fresh 1,000.
▸Why did my Don't Pass bet neither win nor lose?
A 12 on the come-out roll is a push for Don't Pass. Your bet is returned and the round starts again.
▸Does my result count for the weekly leaderboard?
Your final balance is submitted when you cash out or go broke, and it earns XP. Because dice are random, a high score reflects luck as much as judgment.
