About Bowling

Bowling is a ten-frame lane game built around timing rather than speed. Instead of dragging a ball, you stop three moving meters in turn: one for where the ball starts, one for the angle of your throw, and one for how hard it rolls. The pins then scatter with real collisions, so every roll plays out a little differently, and it scores like a proper bowling card.

It suits players who enjoy calm, rhythmic games and chasing a personal best. A full game of ten frames takes roughly five to ten minutes. A good game mixes strikes and spares, and the real prize is stringing several strikes together, because those carry bonus points forward from later rolls.

How to play Bowling

  1. Tap once to freeze the ball while it slides left and right along the foul line.
  2. Tap again to freeze the swinging aim line, which shows the path the ball will take.
  3. Tap a third time to stop the power bar and send the ball rolling. The green zone is safe and the red zone at the top is a bit wild.
  4. Watch the pins fall, then repeat for your second roll in the frame if any are standing.
  5. Finish all ten frames. A strike or spare in the tenth frame earns bonus rolls.

Controls

Keyboard and mousePress Space or Enter, or click the lane, to lock each stage: ball position, aim and power. The big ROLL / SET button under the lane does the same thing.
Phone and tabletTap anywhere on the lane or the ROLL / SET button three times per throw, once to set position, once for aim and once for power.

Scoring

Scoring follows standard bowling rules. A strike is ten plus your next two rolls, a spare is ten plus your next roll, and an open frame is just the pins you knocked down. A perfect game is 300, and the score shown at the end is your total.

Tips and strategy

  • Aim for the front pin or just beside it. The head pin leads the others into each other, which is how a clean strike happens, so line up near the middle.
  • Release the power bar before it reaches the red end. Slightly softer throws keep the ball under control and still carry enough weight to scatter the pins.
  • Position matters as much as aim. If a pin is standing on one side after the first roll, start the ball on the opposite side and angle across.
  • Gutters count as zero, so wait for the swing of the aim line to settle near centre before you commit rather than rushing the second tap.
  • On a spare attempt, only the remaining pins stay on the lane. Pick the standing pin and aim straight at it with moderate power.

Bowling FAQ

▸Why did my ball go into the gutter?

If the ball drifts outside the edges of the lane it drops into the gutter and rolls on without touching any pins. This usually comes from locking the ball position at the far side with a wide aim angle.

▸What happens in the tenth frame?

Strikes and spares in the last frame earn extra rolls, up to three in total. Those extra rolls only add to your tenth frame score.

▸Is there a way to practise?

There are no separate practice modes. Every game is a full ten frames, so each throw is a chance to learn the timing of the meters.

▸Can two people play?

No, this is a single-player game. You are trying to beat your own previous total.
