About City Runner 3D
City Runner 3D is an endless runner set on a three-lane road between glowing towers at dusk. You see the street from behind your runner, and obstacles rush toward you from the horizon. You decide, quickly, whether to slide into another lane or jump, while gold coins line one of the lanes and tempt you into risky moves.
It works well for a short one to five minute break. The pace starts moderate and climbs steadily, so the first minute is warm-up and the second is where reactions matter. A good run covers a long distance and picks up coin trails without panicking when two obstacles appear.
How to play City Runner 3D
- Run down the middle of three lanes. Move one lane at a time by pressing left or right.
- Jump over the low orange barriers. They are short enough to clear when you are in the air.
- Switch lanes to avoid the tall red blocks. They are too high to jump, so you must go around them.
- Steer through lanes with gold coins to collect them as you pass.
- Keep going until you hit an obstacle, which ends the run and shows your distance and coin count.
Controls
| Keyboard and mouse | Use the Left and Right arrows or A and D to change lane, Up, W or Space to jump, and Down or S to drop back to the road quickly in mid-jump. |
|---|---|
| Phone and tablet | Swipe left or right to change lane, swipe up to jump and swipe down to land fast. On-screen arrow buttons also work if you prefer taps. |
Scoring
Your score combines distance and coins. Every 2 metres adds 1 point, and each coin you collect adds 10, so a full coin trail is worth more than a short stretch of running. Speed rises over time, so later metres arrive faster and a strong run is one that survives well into the faster stretch.
Tips and strategy
- Read the colour first. Orange means jump, red means move. Choosing the wrong response is the most common way runs end early.
- Coin trails run along a single clear lane, usually the one without obstacles. Moving into that lane is often both safe and profitable.
- Press down while in the air to land sooner. This is useful when a jump is followed closely by another low barrier.
- Avoid big swerves when you can. Changing one lane at a time is faster to control than aiming for the far side of the road.
- Later on, two obstacles can appear together. Check which lane is open before you commit rather than reacting to the nearest one.
City Runner 3D FAQ
▸Can I jump over the tall red blocks?
No. Your jump is not high enough to clear them, so you have to switch lanes. Only the lower orange barriers can be jumped.
▸How is the final score worked out?
It is your distance divided by two, plus 10 points for every coin you picked up. The end screen shows both the metres and the coin total.
▸Does the game speed up?
Yes. The running speed increases steadily over the first minute or so, up to a maximum, and obstacles appear more often as you go further.
▸Is there a way to jump from the keyboard and phone both?
Yes. On a keyboard use Up, W or Space. On a touch screen, swipe up on the game area or use the on-screen up arrow.
